Mavis Soh, founder of Yoga Moment, has been in the field for 15 years. She is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance at E-RYT500 & YACEP. Further her studies from classical yoga, she has broadened her yoga knowledge in yoga therapy, yoga for diseases, Ayurvedic approach in yoga and the profondes of yogic principles. Mavis also a sound healing practitioner using ancient Tibetan singing bowls and a registered yoga trapeze teacher certified by YOGABODY. Adopting a down to earth approach to yoga by teaching and guiding with an open heart as well as skilful hands-on assist, Mavis has been a willing teacher to every willing student. Her belief on cultivating an insight through consistent practice with the correct technique by focusing on the flow of breathing, stressing on thorough understanding on alignment and awareness on anatomy. With this formula, it enables her to encourage her students to explore beyond their perceived boundaries, both on and off the mat. Not only does Mavis practice yoga on the mat, she also upholds its philosophy off the mat. She believes that yoga is not only a practice that is restricted to a confine studio, but also a philosophy that can be applied in life. Being a lover of travel, she blends in yoga into her holistic lifestyle by exploring beautiful, exotic places around the globe through her exclusive yoga retreat programmes that bring joy, fun and happiness to the people. Elaine Teo, co-founder of Yoga Moment, a true yoga lover and a certified RYT200 yoga teacher, believes that yoga is a lifetime practice and learning process that brings her mind and body into harmony. Through yoga asana practice, she can focus her mind and always have self-reflection for better improvement. Her practices focus on the fundamental knowledge and philosophy from the root of yoga which she believes that this is also the way of guidance. Through yoga, Elaine realizes that there are limitations and advantages to every individual either physically or mentally, which some could be improved over time through practice. While for some, need to accept the reality and know how to deal with it positively in an alternative way. With this mindset, she can handle her personal, work, social and family life – that’s her way of life.

Kelly Tan, co-founder of Yoga Moment KL, has never done any exercise before she got to know yoga. Started with once a week of practicing, to frequent practicing 4 times a week, Kelly finds yoga brings balance to her life. Mind over matters, she finds her mind calmer and able to find peace within. And now there is no turning back for her as she wants to know more and more about yoga, be it physical techniques or the history & philosophy behind yoga. After practicing for a few years & broadened her yoga knowledge in yoga teacher training course with Yoga Moment, she is now a certified RYT200 yoga teacher. Kelly believes that through practice, nothing is impossible. Consistency & determination is what she always holds on. Like other teachers, she also believes that yoga is a lifetime practice. Alignment is what she likes, because through correct alignment, only our body gets the most benefit out of it. And one will realize how their body have changed in a good way through yoga practice. Kelly loves yoga philosophy and history of yoga; she understands Yoga is not just a physical exercise to tone and sculpt the body but is a way of living our life. She believes in the law of attraction because the universe responds to whatever we are offering thus she always sending good vibes & good energy in her class and to people around her.

Michelle Neo


Michelle Neo began her yoga journey in 2007, yoga helped her find balance in life and her practise and study of yoga has since evolved through the years. Initially, her practice was just a physical practise and eventually led her to a practice that began to embrace meditation and mindfulness. It was the mind-body connection that led her to delve more deeply into the study of yoga through teacher training. She is now a certified RYT200 yoga instructor from Yoga Moment and continues to grow her practise as an over-evolving student of yoga practising different styles including Tripsichore, Yin and Hatha yoga. She is very proactive in enhancing her yoga knowledge by attending workshops conducted by renowned international yoga teachers. Michelle is dedicated to sharing her passions and the practise of yoga, meditation and pranayama for one’s wellness and positive transformation. Influenced by the connection of mind, body and breath, her classes are weave with creative flows, supportive adjustments enabling one to feel energised, enlivened and uplifted. She believes there’s more to teaching than simply imparting knowledge to a student. There is a symbiotic relationship between the teacher and student – teachers learn from students as well. When Michelle is not in the studio you can find her exploring the nature and wilderness of Malaysian mountains or satisfying her wanderlust by planning her next worldly adventure. For her every moment matters, make it amazing – that’s her way of life.

Darren Chen


A true teacher teaches from the heart.
Nothing less. Darren focuses his practice on the essence of yoga tradition which has three levels. The first level of practice is the foundation and it has a routine of fundamental postures linked with transition breath and sequences. The second level is the modification. Based on the first level postures and the sequence, he starts modifying the existing postures to more difficult or easier levels. The third level is the integration. Integrating the learned routines with personal practice. So, his personal practice and teaching become meaningful and pertinent to his understanding of yoga.



Patnari Weste started her journey in yoga for her own body and mind healing in 2006 with hot yoga at Absolute Yoga Studio, Thailand . Today, she is a qualified Hot Yoga Teacher, certified by Absolute Yoga Academy. Patty had dedicated her life as a yoga teacher and a meditation practitioner. Being a keen and passionate learner she is, she often finds herself eager in manifesting experiences and quenching her thirst for knowledge by attending a plethora of yoga workshops frequently, in order to further enhance her yoga knowledge. Her enthusiasm and desire for improvements on yoga abilities, skills and techniques have never been in lack. After she graduated, she then started teaching and has always been a dedicated teacher. she is now also a certified Yoga Trapeze teacher by YOGABODY. Patty is a great teacher, who is very attentive to the movements and poses of her students. Likewise, she'll try her best to correct their postures with the words of encouragement and motivation. She is clear that her responsibility as a teacher includes reminding her students to obtain the most benefits out of yoga practices.

Matthew Kemp


Matthew has practised yoga since he was a teenager. He lived in India for 7 years where he learned the yoga technique in Shivanada. He further studied Pranayama, Meditation and Yoga Asanas at the Krya Yoga Ashram under Swami Shanker Ananda Giri. He also studied Ashtanga Yoga at Mysore. He has been in Malaysia since 2006 where he teaches intermediate and advance level classes. Since 2009, he has developed a strong interest in Tripsichore technique (movement with breath) under the teaching of Edward Clarke. It is the key component of his teachings today.

Anthony Szeto


Anthony has been working in fashion industry for 26 years. He gets tired of the high pressure intensive lifestyle. From there, he has decided to let go everything and start living in a simple humble way. Now, Anthony is a full time yoga instructor and Mandala artist. Anthony started practicing yoga 20 years ago in traditional Hatha. Exactly 7 years ago, he switch to New Age yoga and realised the balance of solution and technicque. Anthony works closely with well known Yoga Instructor Darren Chen, with that he gains more experience and able to bring himself up to another level in his yoga journey. Anthony has completed :
